PHARMA - The story of supporting the next generation of athletes and medal winners
For sportsmen and athletes, lactic acid build up can occur during heavy training sessions or competitions and can hamper their performance when it matters most. Muscle soreness can also be felt in the days following strenuous exercise, which can result in lost training time. The delayed-onset muscle soreness, (DOMS as called by exercise physiologists), is characterised by sometimes severe muscle tenderness as well as loss of strength and range of motion, usually reaching a peak 24 to 72 hours after the extreme exercise event.
This new company has been working with experts in Italy to produce a 100% natural gel that can be absorbed by the skin (transdermal) and be proven to reduce the build up of lactic acid and later DOMS. It has passed clinical trials to prove its effectiveness has been legally accepted in international competitions (i.e. not considered a banned substance by the World Anti-Doping Agency).
