Bars, clubs, pubs and other venues often use televised sporting events or other television-based entertainment to attract customers, but they can’t manipulate the technology or system to produce their own adverts or messaging. Current venue advertising systems use digital boards to publicise events, special offers, services or products, but these are not compatible with IPTV being used to broadcast programme content. In essence, the two systems exist side by side.
This start-up company has managed to produce a digital signage system that allows venue managers to create their own animated advertisements, which can be ported to smart TVs. They are in the process of signing up a key distributor to marry the software the hardware units.
