Putting the brakes on a data disaster

SOFTWARE - The story of ensuring your company isn't left off-the-road due to a data breakdown

The problem

From celebrities suffering a cloud hack and having their (very) sensitive photos leaked to the worldwide social media, to worldwide corporations having 'oops moments' with their customer databases…sometimes that data that we think is super safe, is actually a disaster waiting for happen. While big corporates have the resources to nip these things in the bud, smaller firms aren’t so lucky. 93% of companies that lost their datacentre for ten days or more due to a disaster, filed for bankruptcy within one year of the disaster.

The solution

The problem can be especially big for companies who have a large turnover of customers every single day – car repair centres for example. However, one such company revved their data protection into fifth gear. After building new IT systems, they now have their data organised in a number of different places to negate the pitfalls of any major drama. It made their business far more streamlined too.
